The entire house was wallpapered. Some of the wallpaper is in good condition and may be worth saving (like the hallway) but the majority is dated and in poor condition.

I went to work on our bedroom walls stripping away 100+ years of old wallpaper. I uncovered 6 layers deep of wallpaper from different periods and styles. The last layer (first to be installed) was my favorite with hand block printing in a gold and soft grey-blue color. I imagine it was installed in the early 1800’s. It was a little sad to see it go but it could not be saved as we had to repair the plaster beneath it.
