This past weekend we finally knocked down the wall between the Kitchen and Dining Room to expose the light from the East and West sides of the house and open up the passage through. In the coming weeks the studs will be replaced with two large antique hand-hewn posts re-purposed from the shed which will flank a new Kitchen island.

Luckily there were no major surprises. We have to live with an old brick flue bump-out that wasn’t in the plan. But we couldn’t be more excited about the future outcome and clearly there is no turning back now!!
