Summer in Rural Vermont

We’ve just wrapped up a fun-filled month at the house. With 20 people staying in the house there was enough room for all to sleep, play, hang out and eat without feeling like we were on top of each other.

Our vacation time at the house in rural Vermont included trips to the local farm to see newborn pigs and pick fresh blueberries; swimming in the quarry and local pool; visiting the farmer’s market for fresh, organic food; and hanging out under the stars around the fire pit. The kids had a blast setting up a lemonade stand at the end of the driveway and earned an impressive amount of cash. And finally, we had a great time hosting a pig roast party for my mother’s birthday with new and old friends from near and far.

Now as we head into Fall it’s back to project work on the house….several are awaiting!
